P1.4-M BOUNTY FOR 10 WANTED PERSONSPRO-6 seeks public help

ILOILO City – Over P1.4 million are being offered for the arrest of 10 wanted persons in Western Visayas.

The 10 are not in the recently listed 20 most wanted persons in the region but families of their alleged victims or complainants have offered money for their arrest.

Records of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) showed that the 10 were charged with various offenses such as murder, rape, robbery with homicide and illegal possession of firearms.

For any information leading to their capture, PRO-6 urged informants to call its hotline numbers 337-93-00, 337-81-82 and 0929-2941-936, or visit the nearest police station.

The fugitives are:

  • Antonio Aquino (Iloilo City) – murder with the use of unlicensed firearm; P300,000 reward
  • Remegio Jordan alias Remy (Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental) – murder; P200,000 reward
  • Rodelio Oliveros alias Ka Kim (Bago City, Negros Occidental) – two counts of murder; P175,000 reward
  • Denji Tan alias Totong Pi-ang (Bago City) – murder; P140,000 reward
  • Mark Lester Ramiro alias Bonbon (Patnongon, Antique) – murder; P140,000 reward
  • Edgar Magtulis (Bago City) – rape with homicide; P140,000 reward
  • Jonato Sencio with aliases Kidong an Ka Ricky (San Joaquin, Iloilo) – murder; P140,000 reward
  • Rustom Puro (Kabankalan City) – murder; P90,000 reward
  • Jovy Orola (Roxas City) – robbery with double murder; P90,000 reward
  • Joenel Española – murder; P10,000 reward.

The PRO-6 recently urged the public to help policemen find the 20 most wanted persons in Western Visayas. It came out with a huge tarpaulin with the photos of the fugitives.

“This initiative would be an effective tool in informing the public about those run away from the law, and alerting police as well as the public on the presence of wanted persons in their communities,” explained Chief Supt. Josephus Angan, regional police director.

In Manila, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Director General Alan Purisima stressed the importance of arresting fugitives from justice.

“Our operational thrust against wanted persons is being pursued without letup by PNP units,” Purisima said.

He stressed the PNP’s “keen resolve” to “ensure successful prosecution of criminal offenders including those in cold cases.”

Meanwhile, PNP – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief, Director Benjamin Magalong said there is a 97.47 percent increase in the number of wanted persons accounted so far this year compared to last year’s figures.

From December 11 to April 29 last year, the CIDG arrested 514 wanted persons but the number increased to 1,015 during the same period this year, he said.

In Western Visayas, two of the 20 most wanted in the region were arrested recently – murder suspects Cirilo Cambel, 49, of Brgy. Sto. Rosario, San Miguel, Iloilo and Remigio Jordan of Brgy. Cannery, Polomolok, South Cotabato.

The 20 most wanted persons in Region 6 as listed by the PRO-6 are:

  • Noel Ayalin alias Kalbo of Silay City, Negros Occidental – murder, frustrated murder, attempted homicide and violation of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act)
  • Romeo Corbo of Sagay City, Negros Occidental – murder, frustrated murder
  • Robinson Bocala Jr. alias Potot of Pontevedra, Capiz — double murder
  • Rolando Magno alias Totong Magno of Dumarao, Capiz – highway robbery, attempted murder, frustrated murder and multiple attempted murder
  • Romeo Halamane of Dumarao, Capiz – murder and attempted murder
  • Harold Molina of Tobias Fornier, Antique – murder
  • Noel Fuentesfina alias Boy Insik of Roxas City – murder
  • Constantino Acap II alias Strike of Iloilo City – murder, frustrated murder
  • Remmy Bonete alias Totong of Iloilo City – murder
