BACOLOD City – Around P1.4 million worth of suspected shabu was recovered and six suspects were arrested in four separate operations in Negros Occidental, including in this capital city, over the weekend.
On Saturday, Nov. 26, Steve Silava, 36, was nabbed at his house in Barangay 1A, Manapla town after selling suspected shabu to a police poseur for P22,000.
The buy-bust led to a total recovery of P1.054 million of suspected shabu.
Silava was classified as a high-value suspect in the Case Operational Plan “Quicksilver” of the Special Operations Unit – Western Visayas (SOU-6) of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group, the lead unit of the operation.
Recovered were two knot-tied and 10 transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 155 grams and with a standard drug price of P6,800 per gram, police said.
On the same day, Gilbert Dimson, 37, was arrested by operatives of Police Station 3 in Purok Magbinuligay, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City.
The suspect yielded 13 small sachets of suspected shabu weighing two grams and valued at P13,600.
On Friday night, Nov. 25, three family members in Barangay 2, Bacolod City were arrested by operatives of Police Station 2. Suspected shabu in 10 plastic sachets worth P136,000 was also seized.
The suspects were Memar Diopeta, 53, and twin sons, Wowie and Wendyl, both 27.
In Silay City, suspect Delvie Rodrigues, 46, yielded P190,400 of suspected shabu during a search warrant operation in Barangay Guinhalaran on Friday afternoon.
Operatives seized 18 small plastic sachets, improvised tooters, disposable lighters and a candy canister. (PNA)/PN
