P1.5-M for food vendors

ROXAS City – A total of P1.5-million worth of livelihood assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is set to benefit street food vendors here.

According to Mayor Ronnie Dadivas, the fund will be used for the NegoKart Livelihood Project.

Identified street vendor beneficiaries will get uniformed and presentable carts for their products.

Dadvas said 75 food vendors will benefit from the project.

The P1.5 million was turned over by DOLE secretary Silvestre Bello III recently.

The city government allocated a counterpart fund for the beneficiaries’ food safety training./PN
