ILOILO City – A logistics courier supervisor lost P1 million to riding-in-tandem robbers on Tuesday, Dec. 20, in Barangay Apologista, Sara, Iloilo.
Dayana Marie Ciudad, 25, of Barangay Tingui-an, Balasan town and supervisor of J&T Logistics reported to the police that she was robbed by two armed men while she was on a motorcycle with her driver, Rodel John Cuaresma, 24, of Sara town.
According to Sara police chief, Police Lieutenant Colonel Norlan Perante, two armed men blocked the victims at around 9:30 a.m.
One of the suspects then said, “Hold up ni, ihatag ang kwarta,” then hurriedly left the area after securing the money, the police chief said.
“Gindala sang mga suspects ang P1 million kuno nga ila kita sang Monday lang mismo. We are investigating this case and we asked the victims kun may documents nga ipakita nga P1 million gid kita nila sa isa ka adlaw kay courier sila sa mga order sa online selling,” said Perante.
The police already have persons of interest and are coordinating with other businesses in the area to ascertain the robbers’ identities.
“Naka-half mask lang kuno ang duha ka suspects kag wala sang helmet,” said Perante./PN
