
BACOLOD City – Police confiscated P1,067,600 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a high-value drug suspect in an anti-narcotics operation in Barangay Taculing over the weekend.
The Bacolod City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit carried out the operation at around 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, where alias “Jeff”, 22, was caught after he sold a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer.
Further search yielded four additional plastic sachets and two knot-tied plastic bags filled with the illegal substance.
Western Visayas’ police chief, Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, commended the operatives for their continued crackdown on illegal drugs.
“This successful operation underscores our firm stance against illegal drugs. The Bacolod City Police Office remains relentless in its efforts to dismantle drug networks and put offenders behind bars,” Wanky said.
The suspect was detained. He will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
