BACOLOD City – Cash and items worth about P100,000 went missing at a university in Barangay 7, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.
The cash and the items were stolen, a police report showed.
It was around 2 a.m. on Saturday when unidentified suspects carted away the cash and the items from the Central Philippine State University, the report added.
Security guard Joeren Maghari told the police that two bonnet-donning men clad in black jackets forcibly broke the jalousie windows of the school’s library.
When Maghari approached the suspects, one of them pointed a gun at him. The suspects then tied Maghari up.
The suspects barged into the school’s accounting office and took the money from the steel cabinet, police said.
They also took Maghari’s service firearm (a shotgun) and cellphone, added the police.
Officers from the Moises Padilla police station have yet to identify and locate the suspects./PN
