BACOLOD City – Suspected marijuana leaves valued at around P120,000 were seized in a drug sting in Barangay Pandanon, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.
The 58-year-old Nelson Ortiz of Barangay Igmayaan, Don Salvador Benedicto yielded the suspected illegal drugs, a police report showed.
Ortiz was arrested after he sold suspected marijuana leaves to an undercover officer for P500 on Sunday, the report added.
Aside from suspected illegal drugs, police also impounded his motorcycle.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Don Salvador Benedicto municipal police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Ortiz./PN
