BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu valued at around P120,000 was recovered in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Binicuil, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Eight sachets of suspected illegal drugs were confiscated from 43-year-old Ronald Tamayo of Barangay 8, Kabankalan City and 28-year-old Alpha Varona of Barangay Tampalon, Kabankalan City, police said.
Tamayo and Varona were caught after they allegedly sold shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000 around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, the police added.
Aside from suspected shabu, a weighing scale, a cellphone and P1,913 cash were also seized.
They were detained in the Kabankalan City police station’s custodial facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
