ILOILO – A high-value drug suspect was arrested in Sitio Tigbao Bukid, Barangay Malayu-an, Ajuy, Iloilo.

A total of 23 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 18 grams and with an estimated market value of P120,000 were recovered.

Michael Dan Andeza, 37, unemployed, of Barangay Zone 1, Estancia, Iloilo was arrested around 3 p.m. on Friday, May 5.

The operation was conducted by the Ajuy Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company.

Andeza was monitored for two weeks before the operation, according to Police Lieutenant General Enrique Robles, chief of Ajuy MPS.

A police poseur buyer bought a sachet of suspected shabu from Andeza for P2,000.

A cell phone, black pouch, two belt bags, and drug paraphernalia were also recovered.

The suspect is currently detained at the Ajuy MPS and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
