BACOLOD City – An estimated P13.7 million worth of suspected shabu was seized during a police antidrug operation at Hacienda Sta. Ana in Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental yesterday, Aug. 30, around 2:57 p.m.

The suspects were John Valentin Remegio, 34, of Barangay Caingin, La Paz, Iloilo City and Crismark Blancaflor, 27, of Barangay Poblacion, Bingawan, Iloilo.

More or less 2.015 kilograms of suspected shabu were recovered, according to Captain Judesses Catalogo, spokesperson of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

Also recovered were a black sling bag, one red eco-bag, and P10,000 buy-bust money.

Cops also confiscated the suspects’ vehicle.

Police are investigating where the seized narcotics originated while the suspects are detained at the San Carlos City Police Station for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /PN
