ILOILO City – Suspected shabu valued at around P15,000 was recovered in a drug buy-bust operation in Sitio Matawhay, Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro district, a police report showed.
The suspected illegal drugs were confiscated from Jobert Lim and Steven Franco, both 39 years old.
Lim, a painter of Barangay Tabuc Suba, and Franco, a construction worker of Barangay San Isidro, Jaro, were caught after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P7,500, the report stated.
Personnel of the City Drug Enforcement Unit staged the sting operation around 1:25 p.m. on Sunday.
When frisked, the suspects yielded three more sachets containing suspected shabu.
Lim and Franco were detained in the lockup cell of the Jaro police station.
They were facing charges for violation of sections 5, 11 and 26 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
