BACOLOD City – Two drug suspects were arrested inside a pension house in Barangay 9, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
They were identified as the 35-year-old Alvie “Toto Taco” Taco of Barangay 8, Kabankalan City and 27-year-old Barthly Boaquina of Barangay 4, also in Kabankalan City.
Taco and Boaquina were caught around 11 a.m. on Thursday after they sold suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer for P1,500.
Recovered from the suspects were seven sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P150,000, cash amounting to P8,224 and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Joint elements from the Kabankalan City police station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 staged the sting operation.
Taco and Boaquina were detained in the lockup cell of the Kabankalan City police station.
They were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
