BACOLOD City – Antidrug operatives seized suspected shabu worth P2.5 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Pedro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.
Major Fernando Somblingo, municipal police station chief identified the suspects as Herme Jun Abalajon, 24; Joemarie Ferrer, 21; Joebel Siatong, 31; Yan-yan Comita, 31.
An undercover police initially bought from the suspects a sachet of suspected illegal drugs for 1,650.
A plastic bag containing suspected shabu weighing about 250 grams were recovered during their arrest around 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 12.
Somblingo said the suspects and confiscated items were subsequently brought to the police station for proper disposition. The suspected shabu will then be submitted to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory for examination while appropriate charges will be filed against the suspects.
Somblingo added, the operation was “properly coordinated” with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency regional office./PN
