BACOLOD City – Cash worth P215,000 was stolen from a woman in Hacienda Garcia, Barangay Vista Alegre, a police report showed.
The money was contained in a shoulder bag that the 52-year-old resident and businesswoman Elisa Bello was carrying around 1 p.m. on Monday, police said.
Bello was on her way home at the time when two men whose faces were covered with masks waylaid her and forced to take her bag.
The culprits hit Bello with a stone several times until she became unconscious,, police said.
Officers from Police Station7 were still identifying the suspects.
Bello, on the other hand, was recuperating at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital./PN
