ILOILO – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) has approved the provincial government’s proposed 2018 annual budget of P3,466,951,664.
It is P3 million higher than this year’s budget of P3.1 billion.
Next year’s budget comprises P2.615-billion General Fund (GF) and P851-million Local Economic Enterprise fund.
Fifth District SP member Nielo Tupas, chairperson of the committee on appropriations, said there is a 10-percent increase (P244,207,591) in the General Fund and 14-percent increase (P103,182,348) in the LEE.
This year’s General Fund is P2.37 billion and the LEE, P748.24 million.
The General Fund is for Personal Services, Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses, Capital Outlay, and Special Purpose Lump Sum Appropriations.
