BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu and a firearm were recovered in a drug buy-bust operation in Purok Banaue, Barangay Villamonte.
The suspected illegal drugs valued at around P30,000 were confiscated from resident Robert Oparil, a police report showed.
Antidrug personnel from Police Station 4 staged the entrapment operation which led to Oparil’s arrest on Friday.
An improvised 12-gauge shotgun with four live bullets and marked money amounting to P1,000 were also seized from the suspect, the report added.
Oparil was detained in the Police Station 4 custodial facility.
He was facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and election gun ban./PN
