P340K ‘shabu’ seized in Mandurriao

ILOILO City – About P340,000 worth of suspected shabu was recovered from a high-value suspect in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district.

Earl Fritz Renolas Fortit, 30, of Barangay North Baluarte, Molo district was arrested in a drug sting conducted around 1:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 22. He sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer for P10,000.

“Ini siya temporaryo lang nga nagastay diri sa [Barangay] Bolilao, more or less two weeks ang monitor naton sa iya kag based sa information naton duha ka distrito ang mga parokyano niya, distrito sang Mandurriao kag Jaro,” said Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr., head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).

A total of 13 transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item, weighing more or less 50 grams were recovered.

The operation was conducted by the Iloilo City Police Office-CDEU and the Mandurriao PNP-Station Drug Enforcement Team.

Fortit is currently under the custody of Mandurriao police facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
