ILOILO – Around P40,000 worth of suspected shabu was recovered from a 57-year-old man in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Leganes.
Suspect Jonathan G. Alicante of Purok 3, Pavia, Iloilo yielded 5.9 grams of suspected shabu.
He was arrested by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of the Leganes municipal police at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.
“Ang suspect naton nagakuha sang mga lamharon nga mga kababaihan nga iya ginapagamit sang droga kabaylo sang ila dungog,” said Police Captain John P. Robles of the Leganes police. “Nagapagamit man ini siya sang droga sa mga pamatan-on nga lalaki kag iya ini ginasugo nga magpangawat.”
Alicante is facing charges for violating sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
