Bacolod City – Councilor Cindy Rojas, chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlungsod’s Committee on Health, is pushing for a P500 increase in the monthly allowance of barangay health workers (BHWs).
From P4,000, city-paid health workers should receive P4,500 monthly, Rojas said.
The current allowance is not sufficient to cover the daily expenses of the health workers, she explained.
