ILOILO City – Around 80 grams of suspected shabu valued at P544,000 were confiscated following a buy-bust operation by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) in Barangay South Baluarte, Molo at around 10:50 p.m. on Dec. 28.
The arrested person was identified as Virgilio Hilario, 51, and a resident of Barangay Rizal Pala-Pala I in this city. He was tagged by police as a high-value target.
HIlario will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
CDEU chief Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr. said Hilario was arrested for illegal drugs sometime in 2020 but was released from jail in October this year./PN
