BACOLOD City – The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of the Bacolod City Police Office seized P6.86-million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation at Purok Kawayan, Barangay Banago on Sunday night.

Police also identified the arrested as 30-year-old Napoleon Japitan “Toto” Begasa III, a resident of the said place, and identified by the CDEU as a high value drug target.

Police Lieutenant Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said they recovered a total of 16 plastic sachets and five knot-tied plastic bags of suspected shabu with a combined weight of 1,010 grams and valued at P6,868,000.

Police also recovered the suspect’s sling bag containing the marked money amounting to P3,000, and suspected drug proceeds amounting to P1,200.

Begasa is facing charges related to RA9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He is currently detained at Police Station 2./PN
