BACOLOD City – Suspected illegal drugs weighing about 5 grams were recovered in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Rizal, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Residents Jose Gabutero Sr., 75, and Jocelyn Legaria Aringgo, 45, yielded the suspected shabu valued at around P60,000, police said.
The suspects were caught after they allegedly sold illegal drugs to an undercover officer for P15,000 around 10 p.m. on Monday.
Aside from suspected shabu, two cellphones and P300 cash were also seized.
Gabutero and Aringgo were detained in the San Carlos City police station’s custodial facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
