BACOLOD City – Shabu worth an estimated P600,000 was confiscated from two suspects in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay 28.

Elements of the Bacolod City Police Office’s City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Ginna Mariaga of Barangay 31 and brother Ismael of Bago City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, a police report showed.

Recovered from them were 40 grams of shabu, police said.

Police identified the Mariagas as “high-value drug targets.”

The suspects were detained at the Police Station 6 lockup facility.

They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
