BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) seized over P64 million worth of shabu and marijuana these past six months.
From January to June, policemen confiscated a total of nine kilos of shabu and P549,000 worth of marijuana.
These were recovered from 331 antidrug operations, including those of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group, and the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-6.
A total of 851 criminal complaints were also filed against several arrested drug suspects.
NOCPPO acting director Police Colonel Leo Pamittan said the recoveries were proof of their enhanced anti-drug operations in the province./PN
