ILOILO City – A total of P741,200 worth of suspected shabu were recovered in separate police antidrug operations in this city on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 21–22.
Around 5:50 p.m. on Monday, six heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu valued at P27,200 were recovered.
Suspects Anaclito Ignacio Jr., 40, of Barangay Boulevard Molo, and Melody Dela Peña, 23, of Barangay Lapuz Norte, Lapuz were collared.
By 9 p.m., more or less 55 grams of suspected shabu valued at P374,000 had been confiscated in Barangay Luna, Jaro.
Suspect Marken Dela Peña, 21, of Barangay Desamparados, Jaro who temporarily stayed in Barangay Bakhaw, Jaro was arrested.
On Tuesday, around 3:10 a.m., more or less 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at P340,00 0 were seized in Barangay Kahirupan, City Proper.
Arrested was suspect Joseph Hilado, 42, of Barangay Calumpang, Molo.
All suspects face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
