ILOILO – Police operatives arrested a high-value drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sapao, Dumangas town on Sunday afternoon, June 23.
The 59-year-old alias “Ric” was a resident of the town’s Barangay Talusan.
Joint operatives of the Dumangas Municipal Police Station (MPS), Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group and Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s (IPPO) Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Special Operations Group confiscated 105 grams of suspected shabu approximately valued at P714,000.
Police Colonel Bayani Razalan, director of the IPPO, commended the operating police units for their exemplary accomplishment in apprehending a high-value drug personality and confiscating a substantial amount of illegal drugs.
He also extended his appreciation to the community for their steadfast support in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs.
“Your hard work, dedication and sacrifice are truly commendable. I am also grateful for the constant support and cooperation of our beloved Ilonggos. Let us continue striving towards a more peaceful and drug-free Iloilo,” Razalan said./PN
