P748K ‘shabu’ seized in Arevalo buy-bust

ILOILO City – Police operatives recovered an estimated P748,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo district on Wednesday.

Two suspects were arrested – Eddie Sevillo, 39, of Ana Ros Village, Barangay Guzman-Jesena, Mandurriao district and Richelle Germo, 38, of VML Subdivision, Barangay North Fundidor, Molo district.

The buy-bust was carried out around 9 p.m. by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) led by Police Lieutenants Glenn Soliman and Alberto Manguilimotan Jr., together with the Iloilo City Police Station 6 Drug Enforcement Team led by Police Major Chen Tañagras.

A police poseur buyer bought from the suspect a heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu for P18,000.

 Police operatives recovered a total of 21 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 110 grams.

Also recovered were a improvised glass tooter, a cellular phone, a pouch, a self-sealing transparent plastic bag, a black pouch, and a motorcycle, among others.

 “Dugay na ni namon na-monitor si Sevillo. Kun matandaan ko may mga nadakpan na kita sang una ng nadanlog kag na-mention ni ang ngalan sang isa sa aton suspetsado nga si Eddie Sevillo,” said Soliman.

The suspects will be charged with violating Section 5, in relation to sections 11 and 26, of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
