ILOILO – A total of P918,000 worth of suspected shabu was recovered following separate operations in the provinces of Capiz and Iloilo recently.
A drug suspect is also currently being held by police authorities facing charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Mayon Municipal Police Station’s high-value suspect, Dicmar Julian, was arrested in Barangay Quinat-uyan, Mayon, Capiz, at 6:29 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21.
The suspect was found in possession of 70 grams of the illegal substance worth P476,000.
Also recovered were 15 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, P100 buy-bust money, P3,200 boodle money, and one motorcycle.
On Dec. 22, at 5:57 a.m., personnel of the Zarraga Municipal Police Station, together with the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, served a search warrant against alias “Bentoy” in Barangay Poblacion Ilaud, Zarraga, Iloilo.
The 29 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu found were valued at P442,000.
Unfortunately, the subject of the search warrant was not in the area during the operation.
The confiscated items will be sent for further laboratory examination, while appropriate charges will be filed against the subject person./PN
