SAN JOSE, Antique – The Department of Social Welfare and Development has downloaded P95.1 million in cash grants for the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in this province.
Pantawid provincial link Jeffrey Gabucay said that the cash grant for December 2019 to January 2020 period is already available for payout to 26,472 Antiqueño beneficiaries through the Land Bank of the Philippines.
He, however, said: “There are some difficulties on how the beneficiaries could get their cash grant because Antique right now is under extended enhanced community quarantine,” Gabucay said.
Antiqueño beneficiaries are advised to stay home until April 14 to control the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019.
According to Gabucay, the downloaded
fund does not include the adjustment, which was supposed to take effect after
President Rodrigo Duterte signed Republic Act 11310, or the Pantawid Pamilyang
Pilipino Program Act last year.
Under the law, the educational assistance for a qualified senior high school
student is supposed to be P1,000 but the amounted downloaded was only P750.
Gabucay added that until now, family members of the 4Ps beneficiaries receive
P750 for health and nutrition; P300 per child in kindergarten or elementary;
P500 per junior high school student; and P750 per senior high school student per
month.
Each family also gets P600 as rice subsidy.(With
