BACOLOD City – A man and his daughter were injured in a shooting incident in Barangay Zone 1, Pulupandan, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
They were identified as the 55-year-old Joei Torres and 24-year-old Jobilyn Torres, both residents of the village.
It was around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday when Joei went outside their house to urinate when an unidentified suspect fired at him three times, according to the investigators.
Joei sustained gunshot wounds on the body.
Jobilyn, who was sleeping inside their house, was also hit by the bullet, added the police.
Joei was confined at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City and currently under treatment.
Jobilyn, on the other hand, was recuperating as an outpatient.
Officers from the Pulupandan municipal police station were still identifying the suspect and the motive in the shooting./PN
