BACOLOD City – A man allegedly killed his drunken son in Barangay Cabagnaan, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
Tagged suspect was resident 56-year-old Romulo Roto Sr.
According to a police report, his son, 25-year-old Romulo Jr. came home drunk on Jan. 31 and asked for money from his brothers.
But his siblings refused, prompting Romulo Jr. to draw a bolo in an attempt to hack them, the report added.
Police said Romulo Sr. saw the altercation and took an improvised canon – locally known as boga – loaded with marble balls. He then allegedly shot the victim.
Romulo Jr. fell to the ground but allegedly retaliated. He picked a piece of wood and threw at his father, police continued.
The senior was able to get ahold of the material sand struck his son on the neck to death, it furthered.
Investigation disclosed the victim was a known troublemaker every time he was drunk.
