ILOILO – A homicide charge has been filed against the father of a seven-year-old girl who was confirmed to have been sexually abused in Concepcion town.
The Concepcion Municipal Police Station (MPS) filed the complaint on Friday morning, March 24, after the autopsy result on the victim was released on Thursday night.
Police Major Samuel Vipinosa, chief of the Concepcion MPS, confirmed in an interview with Panay News that the complaint was filed at the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
An autopsy showed the seven-year-old girl died of suffocation.
“Posible gintabunan ang baba sang bata kay nagasinggitan ini. Kag positive nga gintandog ‘ya gid ang victim,” added Vipinosa.
In the father’s extrajudicial affidavit, he admitted committing the sexual abuse. He added he was inebriated and mistook his daughter for his wife.
“Ang nanay ara man, kag posible nakita niya man ang gin-obra sa bata niya galing kay person with disability ini ukon apa, indi ta makwaan sang statement bisan ipa-interpret naton. Wala siya sang ihatag nga statement,” Vipinosa said.
The girl’s body is now in a funeral home in Concepcion, while the suspect was being held by the Concepcion MPS./PN
