ILOILO City – An altercation prompted a man to hurt his son in Jaro district, a police report showed.
Joelou Antonano, 19, told the police he was outside their house on Datiles Street, Phase 3, Alta Tierra Village at around 7:30 p.m. on May 19 when a heated argument ensued between him and father Ben.
Ben got irked and punched Antonano on the nape. The latter refused to fight back and just hugged the former, police said.
Antonano then ran to escape. His father tried to run after him but failed to reach him, said the police.
Officers advised Antonano to get himself checked at West Visayas State University Medical Center in Jaro./PN
