AKLAN – A father and son were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Ati-Atihan Village, c town on Wednesday afternoon, May 8.

Police identified the suspects as Rofel “Burnok” Gomez, 44, and alias “Niknok”, 25, both residents of New Buswang.

Joint operatives of the Kalibo Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Aklan confiscated more than P23,000 worth of suspected shabu.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Ricky Bantogon, chief of Kalibo MPS, Burnok had been under surveillance since last year.

 The suspects were detained at the Kalibo MPS.

They are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
