MANILA – Malacañang addressed worries about President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s health following observations from netizens about apparent bleeding from his gums.

According to Undersecretary Claire Castro of the Presidential Communications Office, there is no cause for concern regarding the Chief Executive’s health.

“Nothing to worry po. Kaka-meeting lang po namin kaninang umaga. Wala naman po akong nakikitang hindi maayos ang kalusugan niya,” Castro said in a media briefing at the Malacañang Palace.

“Kung ano mang issue ‘yan, ipinapasinungalinan na po namin ngayon pa lang,” she added. “Kung hindi healthy ang Pangulo, hindi niya po kakayaning gumising ng ganun kaaga at makipag-usap sa mga ibang officials ng gobyerno.”

President Marcos participated in a ceremony at the Mount Samat National Shrine in Pilar, Bataan, on Wednesday to honor the bravery exhibited by soldiers during the Battle of Bataan.

Subsequently, he proceeded to Camp Aguinaldo, where he engaged with the families of deceased soldiers, provided government aid, and presented certificates from the National Housing Authority.

On Wednesday afternoon, Marcos also met with food entrepreneurs, joined by his wife, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and their son Vincent.
