BACOLOD City – The combined sales of various booths at the 25th Panaad sa Negros Festival surpassed their P2-million mark on the celebration’s first day.
The ongoing “festival of festivals” in Negros Occidental opened on Saturday. It will run until April 22.
Records from the provincial capitol showed that the festival booths garnered sales worth P2,188 million, 12 percent higher compared to last year’s P1.960 million.
Panaad sa Negros features various products in the province through local government unit pavilions, the organic agriculture fair, livestock and dairy fair, trade fair and exhibit, eco-garden show, food park, and food kiosks.
The pavilions posted the highest sales amounting to P1.035 million. The food kiosks followed with sales worth P536,368, the eco-garden show with P275,700, the livestock and dairy fair with P127,300, the food park, P124,700, and the organic market, P88,823.
The booths are located at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan – the festival venue. (With PNA/PN)
