JORDAN, Guimaras – With the help of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 6, three workers displaced due to the coronavirus disease pandemic were able to secure remuneration due them.
The workers got their salary differentials after filing a Request for Assistance (RFA) at DOLE-6’s Guimaras Field Office.
One worked in a cellphone shop and received P3,000 while the two others were from a retail business and were paid P14,000 each.
“We are happy to note that amid this pandemic, our companies are willing to recognize the workers’ entitlement under labor laws,” said DOLE regional director Ticao./PN
