PARENTS for Education Foundation (PAREF), in partnership with SmartCatholics (New York) and Parousia Media (Australia), organized a four-day international virtual conference entitled “Jesus-Centered Life: An International Family Conference” on Dec. 5 to 8, 2020.
Mr. Ronnie Gilles, associate director for personal formation of PAREF Westbridge, shared that the conference project was enthused by the Jesus-Centered Life book that was also inspired by the teachings of popes, saints and needs of time.
“We will bring Jesus to schools and homes. To parents, teachers and those depressed and discouraged. We hope that we can gather as many people as possible,” Gilles said in an interview with Panay News.
The event gathered over 12,000 participants from all over the world. The attendees were able to watch dozens of talks from around 70 Catholic speakers, attend live panel discussions and join daily broadcast of the Holy Mass, Holy Rosary and meditations.
Participants including families, teachers and students from all around the world shared their insights, stories and experiences on living lives centered on Christ.
The panelists are from Australia, Nigeria, Kenya, US, Hong Kong, Canada, Ireland, and the Philippines, among others. For Filipino-based sessions, discussions have centered on the sharing of best practices among families of different Catholic groups.
To those who wish to get the library of talks, they may still purchase the full access pass for only $25 until Dec. 20./PN
