PARIS – A knife-wielding man killed four staff at police headquarters in this French capital.

At around 13:00 local time (11:00 GMT; 12:00 BST) on Oct. 3, the attacker began stabbing colleagues with a knife.

According to French media, he stabbed three people inside two offices and two women on a stairway before a police officer shot him dead inside the building’s courtyard.

The attack came a day after police went on strike across France over the increasing violence towards officers.

There has been no official statement on a possible motive for the attack.

However, police union officials suggested the attacker may have been involved in a workplace dispute.(BBC)
