MANILA – Bobby Ray Parks Jr. caught fire from outside as Nagoya Diamond Dolphins cruised to its 93-48 domination of Kyoto Hannaryz in the 2021-2022 Japan B.League on Sunday at the Kyoto City Gymnasium.
The Filipino-American guard went perfect on six attempts from the three-point line to finish with 20 points to go with four assists and two rebounds. The Dolphins cruised to an 11-7 win-loss slate.
Coty Clarke produced 17 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, while Scott Eatherton nabbed a double-double with his 14 points and 11 boards.
The Dolphins also defeated the same team on Saturday, 91-58.
The Diamond Dolphins were just on-target on offense from the start as the lead reached 30 points at 52-22 at the half. Nagoya also connected 14 of their 24 three-point attempts.
Jerome Tillman had 16 points and six rebounds, while Justin Harper and Kazuki Hosokawa contributed 11 points apiece as Kyoto suffered its 15th straight defeat for a 2-16 record.
Meanwhile, Dwight Ramos and the Toyama Grouses survived a late rally by Ilonggo guard Kiefer Ravena and the Shiga Lakestars for a 95-90 victory at the Ukaruchan Arena.
Down 93-90, the Lakestars had an opportunity to send the game into overtime but Ravena and Tomomasa Ozawa misfired their three-point hits before Keijuro Matsui sealed the win for Toyama with two free throws.
Matsui led the way with 19 points on 2-of-5 shooting from deep, while Ryumo Ono connected four outside shots for 17 markers and Brice Johnson added 16 points and seven boards for the Grouses, which improved to 6-12.
Ramos also made his presence felt by registering 14 points, 10 assists, six rebounds, and two steals for Toyama, which replicated its 107-102 triumph over Shiga on Saturday night.
Ravena score eight of his 13 points in that last three minutes, Ovie Soko added 20 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, while Naoto Moriyama drained all of his six three-pointers for 18 points as the Lakestars dropped to 6-12./PN
