BACOLOD City – A birthday party turned bloody after one of the visitors was fatally stabbed by other guests in Purok Kawayan in Barangay Luna, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The victim, 64-year-old Ramon Castro of the said village, died of multiple stab wounds, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspects as Renaldo Aguire, 47, and Generoso Borneo, both residents of Barangay Luna’s Sitio Canibungan.
According to police investigation, the three on Saturday were guests at a drinking party being hosted by celebrator Genoveva Cunahap when a heated argument ensued between them.
Borneo and Aguire allegedly drew bladed knifes and stabbed Castro several times around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 3. They fled after the incident.
Castro, on the other hand, was rushed to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic but the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
