‘Pasalubong’ store in Negros Occidental robbed

BACOLOD City – Around P17,000 in cash from a pasalubong store were lost to an unidentified robber on Yulo Street, Barangay Santo Rosario, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.

According to the Binalbagan police, when employees opened the store around 6:19 a.m. on Friday, August 30, they saw belongings were scattered on the floor.

The store supervisor also discovered that the approximately P17,000 in cash and the automated teller machine (ATM) card placed inside the cashier’s vault were missing.

Police said that based on the closed-circuit television camera footages of the establishment and the adjacent building, a man entered the store at around 2:50 a.m. on the same day.

The robber gained entry by destroying a portion of the ceiling of the comfort room, the police added.

As of this writing, the Binalbagan Municipal Police Station was still investigating the incident to identify the robber./PN
