ILOILO City – A businesswoman complained to the police in Passi City, Iloilo that she lost pieces of jewelry totaling over P1 million.
According to 37-year-old Rhyshelle Mae Palomo of Barangay Man-it, Passi City, she discovered the robbery on Nov. 19 around 10 a.m.
She could no longer found her jewelry kept in her room, said Passi City deputy police chief, Chief Inspector Juvy Navales.
Palomo, who owned a pharmacy, believed the robbery was an “inside job” as there were no signs of forcible entry in her house or room, added Navales.
A house helper could be a person of interest, the police official said but gave no name.
In a bid to recover her jewelry, Palomo alerted jewelry stores in Passi City and Iloilo City, said Navales. They were urged to be more discerning with people selling of pawning jewelry./PN
