ILOILO – A 32-year-old pastor charged with three counts of acts of lasciviousness was arrested in Barangay Jibao-an, Pavia town.
Rene Mombay Sellorin Jr., a resident of the village, was collared around 4 p.m. on April 11.
The operation was conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Iloilo Provincial Field Unit, Pavia Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Dadje Delima, Iloilo Provincial Intelligence Unit, and personnel of Manapla Municipal Police Station.
Sellorin was served with an arrest warrant (violation of Republic Act No. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination) dated March 27, 2023.
Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 40 in Silay City, Negros Occidental set the bail bond at P540,000.
The suspect was detained at the CIDG-Iloilo./PN
