ILOILO – An ambulance turned on its side on Intersection Road, Barangay Tabucan, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo while transporting a patient.

The emergency vehicle of the local government of Sara was accidentally hit by an owner-type jeep around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1.

Patient Jonalyn Ortigas was to be transferred to a hospital in Iloilo City for a prior head injury.

The other passengers in the ambulance were Crisanto Osano (driver), 31; Rubelyn Franco (nurse), 38; Jovelyn Bagonoc, 40; Jovenielita Ortigas, 60; and a 13-year-old. All were residents of Sara, Iloilo. They sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, passengers of the owner-type jeep were Jose Roy Porras (driver), 47; Darly Joy Porras, 33; Alecia Pementel, 52; Raymund Bela-ong Sr., 49; and a 15-year-old. All were residents of Dueñas, Iloilo.

Barotac Nuevo Municipal Police Station (MPS) investigator Police Staff Sergeant Renebe Blanco said the right rear of the ambulance was hit by the owner-type jeep traversing from Pototan to Dumangas.
