ANTIQUE – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Antique named a girl from Patnongon town as the grand winner in the Provincial Search for 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) Exemplary Children on Friday, May 31.
Richie Mae Napacia, who also bagged the Best in Scrapbook Award, said that she will strive to inspire others to aim high and not let poverty get in the way of achieving their dreams.
The runners-up are as follows:
* Fhrynxz Theodore Chavez of Libertad – 1st runner-up
* Jeiah Belle Dubria of Barbaza – 2nd runner-up
* Maurine Mordeno of Pandan – 3rd runner-up
* John Mark Tanio of Belison – 4th runner-up
*Benson Galano of Anini-y – 5th runner-up.
All winners received a certificate, trophy, cash prize, and school supplies.
In her message during the event, DSWD Region 6 4Ps Division Chief Belen Gebusion said that the search intends to highlight the success stories of the children of 4Ps beneficiaries.
She added that many child beneficiaries excel in many aspects due the conditional cash transfer program.
For his part, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Lazaro Petinglay expressed his gratitude to DSWD for the continuous support and assistance intended to alleviate the lives of the Antiqueños.
The Search for 4Ps Exemplary Children is a nationwide initiative that seeks to recognize outstanding children of Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries who excel in various aspects and embody commendable principles, serving as excellent examples for family members and their fellow youth./PN
