Patnongon girds for second ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan’

PATNONGON, Antique – The local government unit (LGU) here is all set for the second round of the “Bayanihan Bakunahan” National Vaccination Days against coronavirus disease 2019  (COVID-19) on Dec. 15, 16 and 17.

Mayor Evohn Nee Baldestamon urged his unvaccinated constituents 18 years old and older to register with their Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) or Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS).

Baldestamon particularly called out senior citizens and persons with comorbidities.

Regarding youngsters from 12 to 17 years old interested to be vaccinated, the mayor said they may register with their school adviser, BHW or BNS.

Sinovac and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines would be used.

During the first round of Bayanihan Bakunahan on Nov. 29, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, a total of 2,033 residents of Patnongon were vaccinated.

“Ang LGU Patnongon nagapasalamat gid sa tanan nga nagpartisipar,” said Baldestamon.

As of this writing, Patnongon had no more active case of COVID-19./PN
