BACOLOD City – Seven policemen were injured. Their patrol car turned turtle along the national highway in Barangay Caningay, Candoni, Negros Occidental yesterday morning.

Authorities identified the cops as police patrolmen Jerome Tolentino, Joey Bana-ag, Eric Abela, and Bryan Ambaja; and police corporals Mark Jel Salazar, John Arevalo and Reggie Tacdoro, all members of the 604th Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6.

According to traffic investigators of the Candoni Municipal Police Station, the cops were performing a road patrol when, upon reaching a curved road, the vehicle’s brakes malfunctioned, causing the driver to lose control.

The injured cops were brought to the Candoni Rural Health Unit for treatment./PN
