MANILA – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. plans to broaden the scope of job fairs across the nation, aiming to generate additional employment opportunities, particularly for recipients of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) initiative.
In a speech at Tagum City, Davao del Norte, the Chief Executive underscored the government’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for Filipinos as they are collaborating closely with local government units to ensure the effective execution of job fairs.
“This aligns with our mandate and our commitment to elevate the living standards of every Filipino family, particularly those benefiting from 4Ps and TUPAD,” Marcos said.
TUPAD serves as a temporary employment program, while the 4Ps initiative provides financial support to impoverished households for educational and health-related expenses.
“Filipinos possess remarkable potential; all our countrymen require is an opportunity such as this job fair. Therefore, I will strive to ensure that this program is implemented nationwide. I wish you all success,” Marcos remarked.
The President encouraged the Filipinos to take advantage of the opportunities presented, emphasizing that their efforts could contribute to his administration’s vision of a “more prosperous, productive, and progressive New Philippines.”
“I believe that each of you has the ability and determination to make your life productive. Let’s live the new Filipino, the Filipino who is disciplined, hardworking, respectful and caring. This will lead us to the New Philippines that we dream of,” he added.
He assured that the government is strengthening the delivery of services to help job seekers find quality jobs “and serve as step towards achieving your dreams in life and for your families.”/PN
