BACOLOD City – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is expected to visit Negros Occidental on Friday, February 21.

According to Councilor Al Victor Espino, the President will lead the proclamation rally of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas in Victorias City.

The city councilor said that initially, Bacolod City was chosen to host the rally at the Panaad Park and Stadium that could accommodate more than 30,000 people.

“But based on the weather forecast, there is a 75 percent chance of rain on Friday in Bacolod. That is why the venue was moved to Victorias City because they have a coliseum that can accommodate about 10,000 people,” he added.

Last week, President Marcos led the Alyansa national rally in Iloilo City.

The President took pride in presenting before the more than 35,000 crowd at the Iloilo City Center in Mandurriao district that the Alyansa is the only group with a complete list of candidates for all elective posts – from national, down to the lowest Sangguniang Bayan.

Prior to the rally, the President presided over the Regional Development Council (RDC) meeting at Casa Real de Iloilo.

Attended by provincial and city executives from the region, as well as heads of key national agencies, the meeting served as a platform for discussing progress and addressing challenges in infrastructure development./PN
